Collection Policy
- Trash must be placed into designated waste container. We provide one 96 gallon waste container for use while you subscribe to our service. Our drivers will only remove trash from the American Disposal Service designated waste container unless previous arrangements/payments have been made.
- Waste container must be placed in the designated collection area no later than 6:00 a.m. on the day of your scheduled pickup. Otherwise, your trash may not be collected until the next scheduled pickup date.
- The landfills are a solid waste facility, so there are some things private haulers, such as ADS, cannot take there. Click HERE to find out what items we can take based on the Harnett County Solid Waste website. If we are unable to take it, give us a call and we'll see if we can help you figure out what to do with it.
Holidays and Inclement Weather
- Pickup is contingent upon the landfill schedule; therefore, if your pick up day is scheduled on a holiday or on days with inclement weather and the landfill is closed, your service date will also be changed.
- Planned Schedule Changes: Information regarding changes in service due to holidays is available on our Holiday Pick Up Schedule Page. ADS makes every effort to note these dates on our quarterly invoices as well as providing additional reminders closer to the service date.
- Unplanned Schedule Changes: Unfortunately, sometimes we do have unplanned schedule changes; however, these instances are usually limited to inclement weather where the landfill hours are changed. If the landfill is not opened, we cannot operate. Information regarding delayed pickups or unannounced scheduled changes should be available on our Home page, Facebook page, and on our voice-mail.
Payment Policy
- Our residential waste collection subscriptions will renew each quarter unless you request service termination.
- Subscription accounts are billed each quarter and must be paid in advance. Invoices may be prorated for a specified service period depending on service start and end dates.
- Payment is due upon invoice receipt.
- Late payments and returned checks will result in an additional charge to your account.
- We accept cash, check, money order, and PayPal.
